Meet the Artist

Viridian Artists Inc began on Long Island in the 60's and then migrated to Soho as the Second Story Spring Gallery where we remained until the late 70's. We moved to 57th Street as Viridian Artists a few years later and spent 25 wonderful years there. The gallery maintained its uniqueness as the sole artist-owned and professionally run gallery on 57th Street, which was at that time the "hub of the art world. Just prior to 9/11 Viridian moved to Chelsea, to the "now" art world, and has maintained a strong and unique presence there with artists from New York to California, and from as far away as Japan, Europe and Korea.

Viridian exhibits a broad range of original and innovative work that meets the highest standards. As a group our artists have shown internationally in Japan and France, and nationally in venues as diverse as Chicago, Denver and Westchester, NY.

One of our special features is our monthly “meet the artist” event where the exhibiting artist discusses his work and is occasionally interviewed by a writer or curator.
