Highlights include:
• David Fitzgerald – bold, colorful paintings examining contemporary self-obsession
• Denise Fulton – realist works revealing light and vulnerability
• Sue Fontaine – layered landscapes that move beyond realism into felt experience
• Marco Lando – evocative pieces inspired by the moon’s shifting light and shadow
• Zoe Brown-Weissmann – explorations of color, fabric, and material shaping unnamed truths
• Kazuo Ishikawa – sculptural works combining metal and wood to spark imagination
• Ellen Burnett – layered narrative works in which stories unfold and where conversations occur
• Hiromi Aoki – whimsical and unique drawings expressing unspoken emotions and inner states
• Kathleen King – imaginative worlds that transform the ordinary into vibrant, tender visionsIn the flux that is our time on Earth it is the artist who renders the untouchable moment palatable for our grasp and perception. In comprehending what is there in life presented as what is here at the gallery we can better understand ourselves, the world, and a place in it, as what seems formless is given a shape, is given many shapes, for us now.
This exhibition highlights artists who will not be presenting solo shows during the current season. In addition, one artwork by several Viridian Artists scheduled for solo exhibitions will also be included, offering visitors a preview and sampling of their work. Viridian Artists invites the public to experience this dynamic exhibition and engage with the many “shapes” of the present moment as interpreted by its artists.
Gallery hours: Tuesday through Saturday 12-6PM
