"Power Plays - Hope for the Future" : A group of protesters - the 99% - is gathered and contemplating an action to gain more power in American society. But the power plays extend to the upstairs where the 1% gather, working deals and trying to gain individual power. I consider this piece hopeful because we have learned from the recent Black Lives Matter activities that a more hopeful future for America will be achieved starting with a redistribution of power across all members of the citizenry.
"Sun Journey": This piece is a joyful look at summer vacation in far-off places. It uses picture puzzle pieces, leaves and river stones to describe an exotic setting with villas and a boat on an azure sea.
