“Dark Agave”: Since the shelter in place order I haven’t gone more than a mile from my house, and have only gotten places by walking. I have been photographing and painting plants that I see growing in my neighborhood.
“Leaf Octahedron”: I have always been enamored of geometric shapes, so when I started making laser cutter art it seemed like a natural to use it to make one of my favorite shapes, the octahedron.
“Tree Mandala”: The tree design was actually made using a program I wrote to generate random tree fractals. After generating a series of random tree shapes, I chose one I liked, vectorized it, and made this layered, laser cut art piece.
