One of our affiliate members, Irene Christensen, is the subject of “Her Timeless Work”, a feature article written by Anne Rudder celebrating her distinctive artistic vision and remarkable career.

Drawing inspiration from her Norwegian heritage and her experiences in Costa Rica and the Florida Everglades, Irene creates vibrant paintings, drawings, and mixed-media works that explore the connections between nature, mythology, cultural identity, and the human spirit. Through bold colors, organic forms, and symbolic imagery, her work invites viewers into imaginative worlds where dreams and reality intertwine.

Irene’s work has received international recognition, including her participation in Personal Structures at Palazzo Mora in Venice during the 2017 Venice Biennale. Her art has been exhibited in galleries and museums across Europe, Asia, and the United States.

Congratulations to Irene on this wonderful feature and for continuing to inspire through her extraordinary artistic practice!
