We’re delighted to share that affiliate member Sabine Carlson’s painting Rising Tide has been selected for Art Maryland 2026, a biennial juried exhibition celebrating artists living and working in Maryland and the surrounding region.

The exhibition will be on view October 9 through November 21, 2026, at the Howard County Arts Council in Ellicott City, Maryland.

An opening reception and awards presentation will take place on November 12, 2026, from 6–8 pm.

Carlson’s Rising Tide continues her exploration of water birds, human figures, and the interplay between balance and doubt. Her paintings combine whimsical figurative imagery with descriptive detail, often incorporating bright, light-filled colors.
